News of the «Environment and health» program
On April 14, 2005 a representative of «MAMA-86» attended a round table which was held in the frame of the preparation for the Parliamentary Hearings «About the guarantee of children rights and childhood protection in Ukraine». This round table was organized by the Parliamentary Committee of health, motherhood and childhood supported by the Assistance program of Indiana Institute to Ukrainian Parliament. Deputies, representatives of different Ministries, Departments and public organizations took part in this event.
During the round table the following problems have been discussed:
- Implementation of the Convention MOP 182 in Ukraine;
- Situation of disabled children and of their families in Ukraine;
- Implementation of the juvenile justice practice in Ukraine;
- International adoption: risk factor of children traffic;
- Child neglect prevention etc.
