Working on POPs
Goal of the project: promote the reduction of impact of POPs on health and environment in Ukraine .
Main objectives of the project:
- Stimulation of partnership between public, science, government in decision-making process on the reduction of negative impact of POPs on health and environment
- Raising of public awareness about impact of POPs on health and activities that can decrease this impact
- Encouragement of public participation in the development and implementation of National implementation action plan of the Stockholm Convention.
Interested NGOs, science, business, government are welcomed to participate in the project.

International Activities of MAMA-86:
2005, 26 May. A representative of MAMA-86 took part in the first conference of the Stockholm Convention Parties.
2005, 15 April. MAMA-86 organized Round Table "Ways of raising awareness about POPs and about the Stockholm Convention. Kyiv, Ukraine. Press-release is available in Ukrainian language (http://mama-86.org.ua/pr/pr14.htm).
2005, 29 April1 May. A representative of MAMA-86 took part in IPEN General Assembly.
2004 Representative of MAMA-86 — Tsygulova O. — is a national coordinator of IPEN.
2001, May. Representative of MAMA-86 — Imshenska D. — took part in diplomatic conference about the Convention in Stockholm.
2000, December. Representative of MAMA-86 — Tsygulova O. — took part in the final negotiating session was held in December 2000 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
2000, March. Representative of MAMA-86 — Tsygulova O. — took part in the fourth session of the INC that was held in Bonn, Germany.
1999, September. MAMA-86 joined to IPEN (The International POPs Elimination Network) Platform. Representatives of MAMA-86 — Kyselova Ξ. and Grinkevich L. — took part in the third session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC) that was held in Geneva, Switzerland.
