Over 50 students of the Nova Kakhovka Instrument Engineering College and General Education School #3 participated in the activity, equipped with gloves and trash bags bought by MAMA-86. The action was carried out with support from the Global Water Partnership Ukraine within the framework of the UN International Year of Water Cooperation, and was dedicated to the upcoming Day of Dnipro, to be marked in early July.

Of the hundreds of Nova Kakhovka springs, brooks and creeks, the most littered was selected for clearing – the one behind the Open Air Theater. Over an hour and a half hours of work, the participants collected seven bags of litter, leaves and branches from the brook, and leveled concrete slabs that line its bottom and banks. They were remunerated for their active work with free access to amusement rides in the city park.

According to the organization's head Taisia Kozak, the event was this year's first spring clearing action. MAMA-86-Nova Kakhovka draws attention of the city's residents to problems of Dnipro every year.
