MAMA-86 is implementing the "Building Environmental Democracy in Ukraine" project with financial support from the European Union. Implementation period: 2013—2015. The project’s overall objective is to improve the environmental policy of Ukraine through an enhanced and qualified public participation in environmental policy planning, implementation and assessment. The project would contribute to this general objective by ensuring fulfillment of the following specific objectives: (a) Encouraging a dialogue between different stakeholders in environmental policy planning and implementation, in particular on the regional and local level; (b) Improving information exchange, promoting transparency and integrity in the field of environmental policy implementation; and (c) Strengthening the capacity of environmental civil society organizations (CSOs) to participate in policy planning, implementation, monitoring and assessment.
