On the occasion of World Development Information Day, 24 October, the online UN Documentation Centre on Water and Sanitation (UNDCWS) was launched. This important repository of water and sanitation related publications produced by the United Nations system was developed by the UN-Water Decade Programme on Advocacy and Communication (UNW-DPAC) with the support of the Municipality of Zaragoza, Spain. The Centre currently provides access to about 500 of the most recent publications (including WWAP’s) but is being fed daily with more publications. It is hoped the UNDCWS will provide the media, researchers, students and policy-makers alike with valuable information to report on water and sanitation.
