“MAMA-86” took part in improving the Law of Ukraine “On Drinking Water and Water Supply” |

The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services had developed a draft law “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Drinking Water and Water Supply” (hereinafter — daft law) for implementation of National Program of Housing and Communal Services Improving for 2009–2014. As it is mentioned in the explanatory note to the draft law: “The draft Law aims to improve the legislation in the field of drinking water supply and sanitation, defining legal, economic and organizational principles of activities in the field of drinking water supply and sanitation, directed to guarantee provision of qualitative and safe for human drinking water and timely wastewater sanitation. The draft Law aims to solve a shared problem for all regions of Ukraine. Today a majority of social-economic and environmental problems of population in the field of water supply and sanitation should be solved complexly and comprehensively, a stable market mechanism for legal affairs regulation should be formed; creating an integrated system of executive authorities and local governments in housing management should be ensured, economic and legal relations should be improved”. The draft Law is available at the Ministry of Regional Development website, in the section “Drafts of regulatory acts for discussion and analysis of regulatory effects”: The UNENGO “MAMA-86” had reviewed the draft Law and had given its proposals in written form to the Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Blyznyuk Anatoliy and offered to initiate a meeting with all stakeholders in order to discuss the draft law.
