July 12, 2013, Nizhyn, Chernihiv Oblast — The Nizhyn Raion State Administration hosted a seminar on agrochemical safety, initiated by the environmental NGO "Mama-86-Nizhyn." The event was attended by farmers, agricultural producers, doctors, scientists, the raion's leaders and village mayors, as well as villagers interested in gaining more knowledge about the safe use of pesticides and other agrochemicals.

July 7, 2013, Sevastopol — MAMA-86-Sevastopol celebrated the Day of Dnipro with songs, khorovods and presents for the Belbek river at the homestead museum Ridne Selo (Native Village) at the foot of the Dragon Mountain.

June 29-30, Kyiv — Within the framework of the Student Republic-2013 international program, MAMA-86 in conjunction with the United Nations in Ukraine helped students develop and carry out a water-themed quest in the context of the UN International Year of Water Cooperation.

MAMA-86 has published "The Situation with Ensuring the Equal Right to Water and Sanitation in Ukraine: Results of a Self-Assessment Pilot Project."

July 7, 2013, Kyiv – On the Day of Dnipro, MAMA-86 and its partners will carry out an action "For Dnipro with Love". The event will take place on the Obolon Promenade (near 12D Heroiv Stalinhrada Ave.) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Representatives from the environmental organization "Moya Zemlya" (My Land), the State Water Agency, the Kyiv City State Administration, the Water Museum, and the KyivVodoKanal (Kyiv Water & Wastewater company) will also participate in the event.

July 12–13, 2013, Irpin, Kyiv Oblast — The Eco-NGOs Forum "Building Environmental Democracy in Ukraine: Challenges and Tasks for Environmental Civil Society" will be held at the Conference Hall Irpin (118-A Zhovtneva St.). The registration will begin at 10:00 a.m.

June 25 2013, Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast — A workshop on "Energy Conservation and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources" was conducted at the Ecotourist Visit Center of the Carpathian National Natural Park for guests of the children's sanatorium Prykarpatsky. MAMA-86-Yaremche held the event in cooperation with the CNNP Environmental Education Department within the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week.

June 20, 2013, Kyiv — At a UNIAN news conference, civil society experts presented findings of the monitoring of how Ukraine fulfilled the environmental component of its bilateral cooperation with the EU in 2012. The news conference was given by two project co-coordinators, Resource and Analytical Center "Society and Environment" Head of the Board Nataliya Andrusevych and MAMA-86 Executive Director Zoriana Mishchuk, who is also a coordinator of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) Civil Society Forum (CSF) National Platform's Working Group 3, as well as European ECO Forum expert Serhiy Vykhryst.

June 17, 2013, Kyiv — Proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1995, the World Day to Combat Desertification in this year focuses on drought and water scarcity and is held under the slogan "Don't let our future dry up!" It aims at raising awareness of the risks of drought and water scarcity, and not only on drylands.
